Congratulations and a huge thank you to newlyweds Caroline and Steven Strachan, who used their wedding celebration to raise money for mv天美mv天美 Charity, a charity close to their hearts.
They invited wedding guests to make donations instead of giving gifts. Going on to raise over 拢2,000 to support our programme.
The couple, who live in Cheshire, were married on the Wirral in November. They were delighted to raise funds for the college, where Steven鈥檚 son Joseph is a student.
Their son Joe, a residential student, was both Best Man and Ring Bearer at the wedding.
Caroline said: 鈥淛oe has completed his Bronze DofE at mv天美mv天美 and started his Silver this year, so we were keen to raise money for the awards.
鈥淚t was a wonderful day, and we鈥檙e so proud of Joe and everything he has achieved.鈥�
Joe has completed his Bronze and is now working towards his Silver award, developing confidence, independence and life skills through the programme. The funds raised will help more young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access DofE opportunities including volunteering, skills development and expedition activities.

Joe鈥檚 step-mum Caroline added: 鈥淥ur amazing son, Joe, is thriving and developing his independence and life skills at College. We were so proud that he recently achieved his Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award 鈥� a wonderful milestone made possible through the encouragement and opportunities provided by the college.鈥�
